Himani talks about how she and her team came up with alternative solutions when the unexpected happened and her customer’s goods were in danger of not getting to their destination on time.
On March 23rd 2021 the Ever Given, one of the world’s largest container ships got stuck in the Suez canal, completely blocking a major East - West trade route. For the next six days, with ships continuing to back up, Himani Rawat, the Logistics Process Owner for Kuehne+Nagel Integrated Logistics in India and her team worked around the clock to ensure that the life-saving medicines of one of their global pharmaceutical customers still got to where they needed to on time. We talked to her about the experience.
